North Las Vegas gymnastics signups close October 25, Henderson's winter basketball deadline is November 7, Aquatic Springs starts a new swim session October 26, and Las Vegas winter camps take kids until full.

Most fall signups in the valley have closed, but a handful of city and county programs still have room for late October 2026. Each one below was rechecked Saturday, October 17, 2026, on the page of the city or county that runs it. Times are Pacific, and prices are as each page prints them.

Gymnastics in North Las Vegas

Parent/Tot Gymnastics, for ages 1 to 2, meets Thursday at 9:15 a.m. or 10:15 a.m. and Saturday at 9:15 a.m. Pre School Gymnastics for ages 4 to 5 has five slots across Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings and middays. Where can my child start swim lessons in late October?

Clark County's Aquatic Springs Indoor Pool, 7025 S. Fort Apache Road, starts Session 7B weekday lessons Monday, October 26, 2026. Monday and Wednesday classes run October 26 to November 9 for $25. Tuesday and Thursday classes run October 27 to November 10 for $30.

Water Introduction, for 6 months to 3 years with an adult in the water, meets at 6:00 p.m. on either track. Water Independence, recommended for ages 3 to 5, is at 5:15 p.m. Stroke Introduction, ages 6 to 9, is at 6:45 p.m. Older swimmers have one track each: Stroke Progression (7 to 12) is Monday and Wednesday at 4:15 p.m., and Advanced Stroke Development (9 to 12) is Tuesday and Thursday at 4:15 p.m.

The brochure says private lessons are not offered during Session 7. The pool is closed November 11, Veterans Day, and November 26 through 28 and closes at 1:00 p.m. on November 25. Register online through Clark County Parks or walk in. Session 1 registration opens Thursday, December 17, at 7:00 a.m., for classes starting January 4, 2027. Source: Aquatic Springs fall brochure.

Las Vegas winter break camps

City of Las Vegas Winter Break Camps for ages 5 to 14 run Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., December 21 to 24 and December 28 to 31, 2026, with no camp Friday, December 25, or January 1. The city says "Registration is open now for winter camps until full," and advance registration is required.

The cheaper sites are $80 a week: Doolittle Community Center, 1950 N. J St. (702 229 6374), and Stupak Community Center, 251 W. Boston Ave. (702 229 2488). Dula Community Center, 451 E. Bonanza Road (702 229 6307), is also $80 and runs an adaptive recreation camp for ages 5 to 18.

Four sites charge $120 a week: Becker Technology Center, 2221 Maverick St. (702 229 2200); Cimarron Rose Community Center, 5591 N. Cimarron Road (702 229 1607); Mirabelli Community Center, 6200 Hargrove Ave. (702 229 6359); and Veterans Memorial Community Center, 101 N. Pavilion Center Drive (702 229 1100).

One catch at Mirabelli: its own fall 2026 activity calendar lists the winter break camp for kindergarten through fifth grade, narrower than the citywide ages. Ask before you register an older child there. Source: City of Las Vegas Camps.

The same city page lists No School Fun Days, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, November 3, and Wednesday, November 25, 2026, both no school days on the CCSD student calendar. Doolittle, Dula, and Stupak are $20 a day. Cimarron Rose, Mirabelli (ages 3 to 5 only), and Veterans Memorial are $35.

For weekly classes, the city's Youth Classes page lists aquatics, arts, martial arts, gymnastics, sports skills, dance, music, theater, and technology at its community centers and pools, and says a Rec Pass is required for every participant.

Henderson's Battle Born Kids on no school days

Henderson runs Battle Born Kids, an all day program for kindergarten through fifth grade, weekdays 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at select recreation centers, according to the city's Youth Programs page. The upcoming dates it lists are November 3, November 11, November 25, and winter break on December 21 to 23 and December 28 to 31. November 23 and 24 are offered at Silver Springs Recreation Center only.

The weekly price is $118 for one child, $224.40 for two siblings, and $330.40 for three or more. A single drop in day is $27 if space allows. Early arrival from 6:30 a.m. and extended stay to 6:30 p.m. are $10 per child per week each.

The paperwork comes first. Every youth program participant needs a new set of participation forms each school year, sent through DocuSign, and the city then places a $10 annual registration charge on your account. To hold a week, pay a 10 percent deposit that is neither refundable nor transferable; the balance is due by the Wednesday before. Pickup and drop off require government issued ID. Lunch comes from Three Square, but the city says to pack a lunch, snack, and water bottle in case your child won't eat it. Registration help: 702 267 4122, COHRecOnline@cityofhenderson.com.

Winter youth basketball

Henderson's deadline comes first. City of Henderson winter youth basketball registration runs September 21 through November 7, for $70 for Henderson residents and $80.50 for non residents, with sibling rates. After the deadline the price rises to $80 and $92, and the city says late registration is not guaranteed. Practices begin December 1, 2026, and games begin January 2, 2027. Player ratings for U10 and U12 will be at Black Mountain Recreation Center or the Henderson Multigenerational Center, dates to be announced. U10 and U12 teams are formed only through player ratings, so team requests are not honored at those ages. Games are citywide, at sites such as Heritage Sports Complex or Russell Road Sports Complex, and practice times are up to the volunteer coach. Questions: 702 267 5717. Source: Henderson Youth Basketball.

The Henderson page does not agree with itself on ages. It lists ages 5 to 17 up top, a U19 division for 14 to 18 below, and an age date of January 1, 2026, for a season whose practices start in December 2026. Confirm your child's division with the Sports Office before you pay.

North Las Vegas Youth Basketball Recreational League registration runs October 30 through December 9 for $70 a player. Divisions are 8 to 9, 10 to 12, and 13 to 15, by age as of June 1, 2026. Practice starts the week of January 4, and games run January 16 to March 6 at Silver Mesa and Neighborhood Recreation Centers. North Las Vegas residents can ask about a parks and recreation scholarship at 702 633 2418 (City of North Las Vegas Sports).

City of Las Vegas Winter 2027 Youth Basketball registration runs November 12 through December 9, 2026, or until full, according to the Mirabelli fall calendar. It costs $95 for ages 5 to 14, and games run January 9 to February 27, 2027. The Youth Sports Leagues page lists the same fee and says sport specific financial aid can be requested at registration.
