Before the long weekend, Board President Emily Stevens holds a community meeting Wednesday evening for District A, and the full Board of School Trustees meets Thursday at 5:00 p.m. PT.

Regular board meeting, Thursday, October 29
The Board of School Trustees meets Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. PT. The date and time appear on the Board of School Trustees calendar and in the October 8 agenda. The agenda, its location, and its reference materials post on the district's Diligent Community portal.
How to take part, according to the board page:
Livestream: "All meetings can be viewed on Youtube or Eduvision on the day of the meeting."
Speaking in person: Once the agenda is posted, call the Board Office at 702 799 1072 during regular business hours, at least 8 business hours before the 5:00 p.m. start. You can also sign up in person right before the meeting begins. No one can sign up once the Board President has introduced the item. Each speaker gets 3 minutes on an action item. The whole Consent Agenda counts as one item, with one 3 minute turn. A 3 minute comment period just before adjournment covers topics not listed as action items.

The board page's Trustee Community Engagement Meetings calendar lists a meeting for Trustee Stevens (District A) on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. PT. It will be at Basic Academy of International Studies, 400 Palo Verde Drive, Henderson. The listing links an RSVP form. School Choice for 2027 to 2028: Applications are open now, and the on time deadline is Tuesday, January 12, 2027, at 3:00 p.m., according to the Open Enrollment page. That page lists a late window from March 22 to August 20, 2027. Guide: School Choice open window.
