Youth Swimming in Clark County

Swimming here is lessons first, then a winter CCSD school team, then a year-round USA Swimming club. Most kids are not ready for school or club until they can swim 25 yards on their front and back without a coach in the water. Start at the Y or Parks. Lakeside SeaHawks, Cardinal Aquatics, Triton, and the Y teams are the next step. A club membership does not replace the CCSD physical if they want to swim for their high school in winter.

CCSD school swimming

Winter. Ask that school's athletic director. Not every high school has a pool; some train at Mary T. Meagher or another deck.

Neighborhood / summer league pools

Plainview, Plantation, and other membership pools run summer league teams. That's a short season, not USA Swimming. Ask the pool desk.
