Walk or hike
- Cherokee Park Scenic Loop — ~2.4–4.8 miles depending on the route. Shaded, hilly, mix of road and trail. Not a flat toddler stroll for the full loop.
- Seneca Park walking path — East End / St. Matthews. About 1.2 miles, more open than Cherokee.
- Iroquois Park trails + overlook — South. Woods first, view at the top.
- Jefferson Memorial Forest — Southwest county. Real hiking. Better for elementary+ than a stroller.
- Parklands (Beckley Creek, Pope Lick, Turkey Run, Broad Run) — East. Mix of paved and dirt. Broad Run and Beckley Creek are the easy family wins.
- Las Vegas Nature Center / Beargrass Creek — Short wooded loops, nature play, bird blind.
Stroller and bike (paved)
- Waterfront Park to the Big Four Bridge — Flat, wide, views. About 1 mile onto the bridge one way.
- Beckley Creek Egg Lawn + paved loops — Best east-end stroller park.
- Las Vegas Loop — Paved pieces through the Parklands and other stretches; pick a segment, don’t try the whole loop.
- Robsion Park (Lyndon) — Path + playground. Good for training wheels. Shade is thin; sunscreen.
- Seneca Park path — Easy loop if you want pavement without downtown.
Playgrounds worth the drive
